Post Your Job
Describe what you need done
- Click 'Post a Job' from your dashboard
- Select the trade type (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Describe the work in detail - the more info, the better quotes you'll get
- Add photos of the work area if possible
- Set your budget range and preferred timeframe
- Choose your payment structure (milestone-based is recommended)
💡 Tip: Be specific about what you need. 'Fix leaking tap in kitchen' is better than 'Plumbing work needed'.
Review Applications
Compare quotes from qualified tradies
- Tradies will apply to your job with their quotes
- Review each tradie's profile, ratings, and past work
- Look for the ✓ Verified badge for peace of mind
- Compare pricing, availability, and approach
- Check their portfolio photos and reviews
💡 Tip: Don't just choose the cheapest quote. Consider experience, reviews, and how well they understood your job.
Chat & Clarify
Discuss details before committing
- Use the messaging system to ask questions
- Clarify scope, materials, and timeline
- Request a site visit if needed for complex jobs
- Agree on milestones and payment schedule
- Keep all communication on-platform for records
💡 Tip: Good communication upfront prevents disputes later. Make sure you're both on the same page.
Accept & Fund Milestone
Secure payment protects both parties
- Accept the quote you're happy with
- Fund the first milestone (deposit)
- Money is held in escrow - not released yet
- The tradie can now schedule the work
- You'll be notified when they're ready to start
💡 Tip: Deposits should be max 15% of total job value. Fund milestones as each stage begins.
Work Begins
Monitor progress and stay connected
- The tradie completes the work as agreed
- You may receive progress updates and photos
- Communicate any concerns promptly
- Request adjustments if needed (may affect pricing)
- Be available for questions or access
💡 Tip: Stay engaged but let them work. Good tradies appreciate reasonable clients who communicate clearly.
Approve & Release Payment
Review work and pay the tradie
- Inspect the completed work
- Raise any issues before approving
- Once satisfied, approve the milestone
- Funds are released to the tradie
- Leave a review to help other clients
💡 Tip: Check everything before approving. Once released, payment cannot be reversed (except via dispute).
